I love music and helping people have a good time. It’s the ideal combination for being a DJ! All through middle school, high school, and even college, I kept wondering why there were so many subpar DJs out there. They were either doing too much, too little, stuck in the past, playing poorly edited tracks…..you get the idea.
Early on, friends and family started asking me to take charge of the music at their events, including a few wedding receptions. That’s when I began to really understand how to read a crowd, build the right playlists, and eventually, master the equipment I needed to start making a difference at events as a DJ.
Since it’s important to get to know your DJ, here are some quick facts:
1. Fluent in Spanish
2. I grew up living all around the world
3. Love me some good summer activities: boating, climbing, hiking, etc.
4. Trained jazz pianist and guitarist
